The Golf-Marketing Parallel: Consistency Drives Success

I was out filming near the beach today, crossing through Royal St David’s Golf Club, and it made me think. Golf is full of great marketing parallels, but one in particular stands out… consistency.

I have just started playing golf again. It is one of those sports that is equal parts brilliant and frustrating. But what I know for sure is that when I practise regularly, I see real progress. A few sessions at the driving range, repeating the basics, staying committed to improving… that is when everything starts to click.

But the minute I stop showing up, leave it for a couple of weeks, and then hit the course, it all falls apart. I am shanking balls everywhere, and it is not fun.

Marketing works the same way. When you show up consistently, practise the right things, follow a strategy, and stay focused, you build momentum. You create a strong pipeline, generate leads, and see results from the effort you are putting in.

If you drop off, the same way you do in golf, you lose your rhythm. The results fade. And it takes more work to get back into flow.

So whether you are thinking about improving your game or improving your marketing, the rule is the same. Turn up. Practise. Stick to a plan. It will make the results so much more rewarding.
