Staying Front of Mind: A Guide to Content Marketing
Content marketing is a strange one. It is not designed to get you a sale tomorrow. Instead, it is about staying front of mind so that when someone is ready to buy, they already know who to turn to.
That only happens if you show up consistently.
When you create content regularly, people begin to understand what you stand for. They start to believe in your product or service. If you are sharing results, client wins, behind-the-scenes insights, and genuine value, your audience builds a connection with you over time.
Then, when you do reach out, whether it is through a message or a meeting request, that contact is already warmed up. They have seen your content. They know what you do. They have seen your results and the feedback from others. And most importantly, they trust you.
That is what happened to me recently. A lead came through this morning from someone I used to work with around fifteen years ago. We had not spoken in a long time, but because I have stayed active on LinkedIn and continued to show up with content, I was still front of mind when the opportunity came up.
If I had disappeared, I would have been forgotten. But I kept showing up. I kept sharing. And when they needed help, I was the first person they thought of.
That is the power of content marketing. It is not about instant results. It is about being remembered when it matters most.
